So KR, how is your game progressing? Haven't heard from you in a while.

I started playing EMI yesterday(Just got to Lucre Island) and i must say it's way better than i thought.
The characters look a bit to chunky and Nintendo 64'ish, witch i don't really mind since i knew it would be 3D in it cradle.
The backgrounds are really beautiful and the humour is still there, when the Voodoo-lady says "You Pulled", i chuckle every time(You who haven't seen the 1960's Addams Family series might not get this)

But the controls took me a while to get used to. My biggest problem is how Guybrush "bounces" when he touch a wall or obstacle. At one intance i just held forward and he was all over the place like a hockeypuck. But when i got used to how he controled it was no problem playing at all. So far i don't see what the gurdge against this game is.
Can't wait to complete it.

Over and out on this title for now.

I don't think anyone thinks it's particularly bad, just compare it to any of the first 3 (particularly 2 and 3) and you may see it as the weakest game like many of us here do.

Don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say that a lot of fan aggression towards the game relates to a notable portion of Act III.

I myself also like the game. Much more than Monkey Island 2 in fact - but then again I'm in the minority on MI2 at any rate.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that bit. That bits pretty bad, along with the end, which stems from there. But apart from that, it's a pretty good game. Will we ever agree on MI2 though my dear Hannu? :P

MI 2 is the best. It's my favourite game ever, actually.

Please read above comments.

See, this is why I'm so desperate for MI2:SE to come out, just because it's going to be my one chance to play it. I don't know if the original version of the game will play on our computer, and even if it does, I don't know if there's a way for me to get a hold of it. I've heard so many debates on whether it's the best MI game or not that I really want to find out for myself what I think.

Now I should post something on topic, huh?
I enjoyed EFMI. Not as much as CMI, which was the only other MI game I had played when I first played it, but I liked it. The ending was a touch iffy and I wasn't crazy over the graphics, but there were parts that made me laugh out loud and some puzzles that had be stumped. Granted, I was much younger when I first played it, but when a replayed it not so long ago, I still enjoyed the puzzles, though I could remember most of the solutions. All in all, it was a lot of fun to play and I'm not complaining about having another MI game.

Well you'd be able to run it using ScummVM, but you'd have to go to eBay to get it.
