Captains Log. Guybrush Threepwood (Dec 24th)
“Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The Stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
Oh, wait! Wrong story! Sorry. I’m Guybrush Threepwood, a mighty pirate and I’m more than ready for Christmas. After Elaine making me do all her shopping of course. I’ve so far bought a tree, ornaments, wreaths, holly and a star for the tree, (sorry Murray). Last week I’d organised a Christmas party to get together with our fellow Pirates of the Caribbean! Everybody’ll be there, except for LeChuck of course. And…”
Guybrush stopped writing for a second and suddenly realised where he was. He was so involved in what he was writing that he’d forgotten that he wasn’t out there with the fun. He was lying on the sofa in the mansion, which had been decorated with Christmas decorations and tinsel. There was also a tree in the middle of the room. But that wasn’t what distracted Guybrush. He sat up and said slowly and dreamily. Mmmmmmm! Is that turkey cooking tonight?”.
“The best turkey you mean!” said Elaine as she walked into the room, carrying a turkey on a plate and laying it down on the table.
“So”, said Guybrush happily, “When’ll the guests be here?”
“Any moment now”, said Elaine also grinning.
“This is going to be the greatest Christmas ever!”. Guybrush said loudly and standing up on the sofa.
“If you’re not careful Guybrush it’ll be your LAST Christmas if you continuously trash my sofa like this!” said Elaine through gritted teeth.
But right after he finished saying that, there was a knock at the door and Guybrush stepped down from the sofa and rubbed his hands together.
“Ah, they’re here!”
